Yesterday there was a thread in the PS forums about what your thoughts are on the 5th anniversary of 9/11/01. Although some chose to show their asses (as to be expected), others had class and chose to honor and remember.
Thought I'd paste my reply in here.
My thoughts go to the survivors, those that are no longer with us, and the families and loved ones of those that were stolen from us. It's been said many times, but 9/11 was and will remain a reflection of all that is horrible and beautiful about human nature: hatred, love, intolerance, devotion, envy, honor, and both the desire to destroy and the desire to preserve the lives of others just to mention a few.
However one chooses to reflect upon what happened on 9/11/01 is relative and we all have the right to choose how we do so.
I would say that although the attempt to cripple the American spirit was a horrific and cowardly act, it was just that... an attempt. They didn't destroy us as they had hoped. They made us remember who we are and what we believe: Freedom, which is at the very core of the American spirit, is the birth right of all mankind.

Amen and well said brother! I have been to Ground Zero and I can tell you it is quite humbling and emotional - and I am not even American. I think it sent a thunderbolt of shock and dismay throughout North America as nothing of this scale/depth has ever happened here. We see it on the news but until it hits home then the impact of such a horrible act is never really considered. I cannot even imagine what it is like for those families of the victums and even the survivors who have to live with those images each and every day. My heart goes out to them. I hope they catch that SOB Bin Laden and string him up like a pinata for all the victums to take a turn with a nice glass-embeded stick. But that is just my thoughts.
PS - Yea you will not find much sympathy among those retards on the PS forums as they lead their pathetic little teeny-bopper lives in their parents basements drinking energy drinks and puking out their fuck-brained brand of hate over the internet well knowing that if they did that in real life they'd get their asses kicked.
